Carchex Aka Carchex.com Paid for professional inspection, ended up with pile of junk with leaks and rust galore

I purchased a carchex report on 1/25 for a 1995 bmw m3 I wanted to purchase in New York. I live in Arizona, and this was the only way possible for my to make sure I wasnt buying a lemon.

Well, the report indicated that the vehicle was in very good condition, with a minor dent "right rear" "left rear" and "hood". The said the bumper was in "ok" (their best rating) condition. As was the undercarriage inspection.

Well, I get the car here and its a rust bucket. The bumper has rust on it, the body has rust on it, the exhaust system is rusted through...

... AND BEST OF ALL, they said they road tested it... THE CAR HAS NO COOLANT IN IT!

The radiator neck is completely broken off and not connected. The vehicle if driven more than 1 mile or 5 minutes of being on it overheated. THE INSPECTOR SAID THE TEST DRIVE WENT CORRECTLY WITHOUT ISSUE.

It appears they just generate a pre-written report of a vehicle and dont even take the time to actually inspect it. They stated the sunroof, driver side door, and other items did not function when they all function flawlessly.

They stated other things that were fine, ended up being completely broken and in need of repair.

Also, the sample reports they post on the website show nice quality easy to see photos. The photos I recieved looked like they were taken with a $10 cellphone camera, completely out of focus and blurred beyond recognition. The vehicle might have been a purple ferrari or a maroon hummer h2. You couldnt tell that it was a bmw m3 from any photos that were taken.

They also wont return my emails nor requests for a refund. I'm out over $1000 based off their report, and this is only day one. God only knows what else is broken.

Check around, there are other complaints out there. They don't return emails, and don't deliver what they advertise. Caveat Emptor.
