Buyer beware!

The date today is February 8. Three weeks ago my husband and I bought a 2000 GMC Sierra 1500 truck. The truck is beautiful, 6 inch lift, white, really nice body, no damage whatsoever. We took it for a test drive and it sounded really good, drove nice, the only thing was it did need new tires. We knew that right off, but the tires were 38", having a large truck before, we knew they would be about 1800 dollars.

We agreed that would be OK, as long as they gave us a deal on it. So we went ahead and bought it. As soon as we signed the papers, we get in it, start it, and the gas light is on AND the "change engine oil" light are on. Oh, and the stereo system wouldn't work. So we went back and were told them that the speakers were disconnected. Really nice! I thought when you sell a car you want everything to work!

So we got over the gas and oil thing, no big deal, compared to what came next! We got new tires and rims, 2300 dollars later the truck is looking good. Oh and the stereo working! What a plus... About week later we had a snow storm, We go to use our 4 wheel in our "new" used truck and it doesn't work!!! My husband was livid.

So, three days ago I am driving through a parking lot, and the truck completely locks up will not go anywhere! I couldn't believe it. I had to call a tow truck and get a rental car to get home, since I was 20 minutes from my house, not to mention with my 1 1/2 year old daughter. What a nightmare. Well, the mechanic called yesterday. 2500.00 to fix it. They sold us the truck with the transfer case completely bone dry, no oil AT ALL! And on top of that, the front axle is cracked, rack and pinion, SHOT... CV joints... Shot... Transfer case... Shot. 2,500.00 dollars out the window.

So in conclusion DO NOT BUY ANY KIND OF ANYTHING FROM THOSE SCANDALOUS CROOKS!!! Unless of course you have endless money for repairs, which we don't, all I have to say is we were really lucky that there are a such thing as tax returns.
