Gave defective car back, Leonard Pierce never returned check to Cars Financial d

I bought a 1995 Saturn LX from Auto Wise in Oakland, CA from Leonard Pierce. The car had over 100,000 miles on it and he did not tell me that until I signed the paperwork. I couldnt even drive the car until I had signed. When I drove the car, I realized there was front end damage causing the car to veer right and the steering wheel shook. I told him I was not going to pay him anymore money until he fixed it and stopped payment on a $500.00 check that I had given him.

He made excuse after excuse when it was time to fix the car and at one point actually came and got it, said the front end was aligned and all he did was rotate the tires that he said were new which I later found out was a lie as two of them went flat from wear after one week.

He couldnt be contacted so I left a message with one of many receptionists he had, it was like an employment revolving door, a new person every week, and told them to tell him to pick up this car. He never returned my calls, so I called Cars Financial and they said to return the car to him and that he would have to return the $8,000 check they had issued him.

He did not report that I had returned the car to him and for several months Cars Financial contacted me for car payments. I relayed to them that Leonard Pierce had taken the car back and told me he had sold it over again.

My credit report reflected a charge-off by this company that I have just recently been able to have removed. Auto Wise, Leonard Pierce is a fraud, rip-off artist, thief. No one can find him now and I have been in contact with the person to whom he sold the car and she said that she has just recently been able to get the car registered in her name since the car had gone through many previous owners like me, who kept the car a short time and gave it back because of all the work that needed to be done on the car.
