This company refuses to communicate or respond with or to its customers, keeping legitimate refunds

I dutifully paid 5 years of lease payments to Fifth Third via an auto debit system at my local bank. The lease was up and I decided to lease a new car. Both the dealer and yours truly called Fifth Third to advise them, then called the inspection service to look at the car, then called Fifth Third back to tell them when the inspection would take place: hence when they could claim the vehicle.

I had paid a lease payment (auto debit) on the first of the month. The inspection took place on the 24th of the month. Technically my lease responsibility was over. On the first of the next month Fifth Third tired to debit my account again. The only 2 times I have ever been able to speak to a human being at Fifth Third was the first series of calls concerning turning in and inspecting the car and then to ask them on or about the first of the next month why I was being billed for a car I no longer lease. The answer to my last question was Fifth Third had no knowledge of the car's return or inspection even though they picked the car up on the 26th of the previous month.

Fifth Third owes me 6 or 7 days worth of lease payment.

Four phone calls being held on hold for no less than 20 minutes before I hung up have been placed. One letter fully detailing the circumstances, returned from the address on the lease.

This company has a very clear strategy. Refuse to offer any semblance of customer service. Avoid contact with customers and keep the money they rightfully owe former customers.

Their conduct is outrageous and dishonest.
