AutoPoint Melvin Marquez abused & mistreated

I bought a 1995 Eclipse from this dealership and afterwards it was a nightmare dealing with them.

1) When i bought the Eclipse (with my boyfriend) I had a trade-in. They were suppose to payoff my trade in. However, it took them 3 WEEKS to pay it off. And this was only because I had an attorney call for me.

After I bought my car I had noticed my trade-in car wasn't being paid off yet. My boyfriend and I would call to ask when they would pay off my car. They kept telling us lies saying it'll be paid off tomorrow, or that they will be going to the bank tomorrow to pay it, but everytime I checked the bank it wasn't. Finally I got tired of this, esp since the payment for that car was coming up and I didn't want to pay for a car that wasn't mine anymore. I told my boss (who is also an attorney) about what was going on and he made a call to them for me. That afternoon I checked the bank to see if it would be paid off. And to my surprise it was.

It only took 3 weeks and a lawyer to call to make them pay off for the car.

I thought I would be through with dealing with them but i was wrong.

2) A couple months later they called and said we needed to come in right away to sign over the title of the trade in car to them. Apparently they had forgotten to have us sign those papers. I had no problem going to sign the papers However they demanded that we come in THAT day and if we didn't Melvin threatened to have my car reposessed. This made me mad. Due to their mistake we have to drop everything and go to them. On top of that he was threateining me.

Nevertheless after work I went with a co-worker. When I got there they wanted me to sign a blank bill of sales. I said no, i wanted it filled in correctly before i sign it.

Then as i was leaving one of the sales guy asked what had been going on. I was telling him all that had happened. The next thing I know Melvin comes from the back starts yelling that he's had enough of this, the deal is off and he wants his car back otherwise he will have the repo guy just get it.

I could not believe this! After all they had demanded and all their threats I was still cooperating with them and this is the treatment I get

DO NOT EVER BUY A CAR FROM AUTOPOINT OR FROM MELVIN MARQUEZ!!! He is a liar and makes threats and is not professional at all. The sad thing is he is very polite and acts like a nice guy until things don't go his way.
