10-31-07 I inquired about a 1999 Porsche C4 for The Autobarn advertised on Autotrader. The clip said the car had NAV. Later and after I cut/paste the ad to the lady (Jennifer Lee) I was told that it was obvious the car didn't have NAV.
Jennifer offered me in writing, $31,000 for my 1996 C2 after she was provided with several pics of my very nice car, as nice as the one they are selling on the internet!

After further inquiry regarding the C4, my email was responded to by Frank Billman who said The Autobarn was interested in a trade. Again I wanted to be sure with whom I would be doing business. With more questions posed by me to them regarding assurance that the car was clean, non smoker, not a water car and all those questions that anyone wants answered before a deal is made and an inspection is ordered... I was then responded too by Mark Reed.

All the while the $31,000 offer is on the table and not disputed by anyone after Jennifers offer! Over the Thanksgiving weekend I sent numerous emails to Mark only to have them responded to by Romone Harrison. I pointed out to Romone (in case he hadn't seen all that had transpired) all the issues. He then told me that Jennifer is on leave and that Mark was her manager and that he had no authority to make such commitments. He further told me that Mark was dismissed because he was making deals that were too good for us the consumer but bad for them the company!

For the past several days (11-26 to 11-28-07) The Autobarn has advertised the car for $32,980 (a record has been made) down from the original posted price. I called and wrote to Romone and told him I am accepting the $31k for my car and would pay him the difference of the $32,980. He told me that he couldn't accept the deal and he was very apologetic.

By noon today 11-28-07 the car was listed at $34,980 and not at $32,980!!

Excuses are like noses, everybody has one... This company has no idea what it is doing and surely doesn't honor its commitments!
