Another RIPOFF example

I too, experienced scams at Viking Dodge. I purchased a 2004 Dodge Ram about 3 years ago. After agreeing on a price, I indicated I wanted 0% financing for 5 years. They repeatedly ignored that request and set me up with 8% financing for 6 years. Shame on me for not researching first, but when I got home, I looked up Dodge's website and saw that indeed, it was available. When I went back, they argued with me, and when I started to yell, they put me in a private office, and continued to argue about it... That I never asked for it. I insisted they pull the paperwork, and sure enough, written on the "offer" paperwork, was "Customer wants 0% for 60 months".
They conveniently ignored that so they could make money on the financing.
They tried to say it was too late, the contract was written, but I continued to argue and they finally relented.

A second scam was discovered about a year later. I bought a "Package A" which consists of undercoating, fabric protection, paint treatment and rustprooofing. The only thing I knew for sure that was done was undercoating, because you can see it. The interior did smell like a chemical, so I assume it was done. I could tell the paint had "something" done, because there were swirl marks all over it, which I was unhappy about. They re-did the paint treatment, but it always had swirls in it. I finally had to give up on that. But the real kicker was when I pulled one of the door panels to fix a rattle, and I discovered that they NEVER rustproofed the vehicle! I'm sure it was meant to be that way, another way to skim some their costs off the truck. Of course, they acted all shocked about it, and did the rustproofing, but offered no other remedies or compensation for the year my truck was on the road unprotected. Not even a loaner while they did what they promised to do in the first place!
