Ripoff consumer fraud ripoff

I received a letter and membership card for the Hartford Auto Club for insurance as an alternative to AAA. THe letter included a customer service number that, when called, gives another number to call, which is an immediate hold, with no further message. The letter gives a fictional start date, with and end ot a free trial period wihtin less than seven business days until a debit from my checking account.

I have contacted my bank to prevent any such debit, and will be filing a complaint with the Massachusetts Attorney General's office to prevent this from happening to other Massachusetts residents in future. This business appears to enjoy bank fraud, and should be prosecutable on that basis.
