Drive time is nothing more than Legalized Loan Sharks, They Lied about Everything!

Like everyone else me and my boyfriend believed drive time also, he need a car back in 2002 and we thought they were in the business of helping people they said. First of all, they state no late payments no where in the contract do they give you a dollar amount for a late charge all they said from day 1 is no late payments. So, i asked well what if for some reason we are late. There responce was if you make the first 6 months on time we will work with you. But we don't accept late payments. Again, they were talking in riddles. Needless to say we paid on time for over a yr. My payment was $427 and i paid 450 so i was actually paying over. They could never tell me where all that went to. Then 1 month we knew we were going to be late so my boyfriend called them to ask if the payment for that month could be differed to the end of the loan. They said they needed him to sign some papers and fax over his paychecks stubs and a receipt of $800 where we had the brakes fixed (which is why we were late) all this time we think this was a differment. Suddenly they switched up to payments every 2 weeks all of a sudden instead of our monthly payment. When we asked to please put the payments like they were before they wouldn't. Aside from all this they are nasty, rude, when they call they ask you why cant you borrow the money from someone, or they say can you not afford this car? They pile on late charges and cannot tell you how much they are. They never have that information available i called for the payoff several time they never have that in front of them either. Over a yr ago we went to go try to trade the car in since we were told it was a 3 yr loan or a little over three yrs come to find out when they told us they gave us a differment they actually refinanced the car without telling us or ever sending us any paperwork. We were buried in this car now having for over 4 yrs and still owing 3200.00 since then we have paid them trying to pay this god forsaking, never ending, car. Seems the fees aside from the 29 per intrest was also never ending. Finally the car was down to 1500 so again we tried to trade it in never realizing being it still has a lien they would be alerted. The next day we were taking the car back to the dealership to trade in and at 6:00 am they came to repo the car how convient. When the tow truck guys came he said do i need to get anything out the vehicle i said yes he asked for the key, i told him i had to go get it inside. I went inside was gone 2 seconds and he left. Before that i told him i was planning to get the car out he said it will be in richmond area and you have 2 weeks after that they ship to the auction. I called dt the next day and they informed me my car was in the fredericksburg, va area i said i was told it was still in this area and i at least wanted to recover my items since the tow truck man left. He informed me they disposed of my things with this driver and i had to call him on his cell phone and pay to get my stuff. I was livid. I was so angry they still claimed according to them with late charges i would have to pay 2100, to get out of repo and i still owed 3200. Which i owed almost 2 yrs ago when i tried to trade it the first time. The final thing that took the cake was i checked my credit and they charged off this car in april 07 and i was still making payments on this car until they got it in sept 07 then they turned around and slapped another charge off on me for the same car. Bottom line they were trying to collect all there bs fee's and so called late charges and us as the consumers do have any paperwork or anything to protect us. They want to repo your car so you have to come back to them. They do not help people they screw you. And they have all the loop holes to back them. I don't care if i ever needed another car i would crawl before i would ever go back there.
