If you are considering employment with Avondale Auto Group or you are considering purchasing a vehicle from them DO NOT believe the hype about how they want to build "long-term" customer relationships. DO NOT believe the hype about how employees are not expected to pressure customers. DO NOT believe the hype about putting buyers in the right car or letting them go if they cannot find the right car. Avondale Auto Group is no different than any other dealership. If you are attempting to purchase a car, and you honestly cannot afford a payment over a certain amount, these people don't care. As far as the dealer is concerned, if you can't afford your payments or the insurance on a vehicle, it's not their problem, it's your's and the bank's. They don't care if you have to file bankruptcy or starve down the line because they put you in a car you can't afford. They may also tell you that they want to build a relationship with you so that you'll keep coming back to buy cars from them for years to come... This is also a lie. The sales people and their managers only care about making their commission that day. They lure job seekers in by telling them that they offer "no-hassle" pricing; that the best price is always shown on the hang tags inside the cars; that once you've established a relationship with a customer, that customer is your's for at least 3 years and no one else will try to steal that customer from you. Lies. Other sales people will steal customers from right under your nose, and they are encouraged to do so. They will also tell you that you will work 40-50 hours each week and that you will have at least 1 day off each week. The truth is, you may be likely to work for 3 weeks with no days off, averaging 60-70 hours a week. If you have a life, a soul or a conscience, do not work for this dealership, you will lose them all.

If you are going to buy a car from them, go in with outside financing. DO NOT let them finance you. If you finance through the dealership you are very likely to pay more for the car than you should. They will mislead you and make you think that you are getting to the payment you need to be at by giving you additional discounts, when all they are really doing is increasing the length of your loan or actually giving you full value for your trade. They will appraise your vehicle at less than what it's worth in order to leave room for them to try and "sweeten the deal" later on by offering you "more" for your trade in order to get you into a new car today.
