I had noticed a crack in my Passenger side airbag cover along the bottom. I have a remaining factory warranty on my Jeep Wrangler and took it in to Royal Jeep Olds Eagle in Charleston.

I made an appointment for the dealership to look it over along with unusual threading coming out of my factory soft top. I had my roomate take the jeep in on the scheduled date because i had to work.

My roomate said that they inpected the roof and found it a factory flaw and ordered me one to be put on. Then the Service manager grabbed the covering from the passenger side airbag and ripped it off with force.

He threw the airbag out in the passenger seat and proceeded to tell my roomate that my jeep had been wrecked because the airbag was deployed.

My roomate had known it hadnt been wrecked because it was bought used with 20k miles 5 months prior and fully inspected and had a Carfax report done on it.

He told the service manager that and he said the mngr got angry and slammed the bag out and said it has been wrecked and hes not fixing it.

My roomate asked him to show him where it had been wrecked and the mngr would not comlply. The manager NEVER inspected the vehicle to come to that conclusion.

I was told about this news, so i personally took my jeep down to the dealership and asked for them to show me why it was not covered in the warranty.

The same service manager FORCEFULLY grabbed my console and slammed it up against the windsheild and very hastily jerked the airbag out into the seat like my roomate explained what he did to him.

I told the guy.."hold on man, please dont treat my jeep like that" He said, why? Its already damaged! I was FUMING. He proceeded to tell me it had to have been wrecked for the airbag to have been deployed. I said please show me, he wouldnt comply.

I had to go get the other inside manager for help. As he came outside my buddy that was with me was trying to fix the damage the sevice manager had done (rolling the bag back up) and tucking in the cover.

I went to explain to the new mngr what the previous service mngr had done to my jeep when he stepped in front of me and Jerked the cover off and "THREW" the bag out into the seat for the 3rd time. When he did that it ripped a 2inch gash into the cover and bent the cover out from the dash.

I told him now, you need to fix the damage you have just caused in front of your own manager and employees. He refused and said you cant fix something that is already broke. (I was talking about the cosmetic damage) aside from the original.

He refused and walked away. I since the talked to GARY SMITH the companies president and that guy basically told me to go to hell on the telephone. He started off the conversation saying,

"Rex" (service mngr) Has been working with me for over 20 years i will believe what he says over anybody else, now whats your problem brian? So that tells you where that conversation was going.

I told him that i will file a complaint with the B.B.B. And Chrysler Daihmler Corp. He laughed in my ear and hung up the telephone.

I called Chrysler and they did not help me at all. They basically said that Royal Jeep is a subsiderary and took on the same position as Mr Smith did about believing "Rex"

Inbetween all of this i have taken my jeep to 3 different dealers in the area and local mechanics and 1 air bag specialist. And 1 carfax report. ALL HAVE CLAIMED:

That my jeep shows no signs of being wrecked or damaged. ANd the airbag guy said my bag was live. And the service mngr at Royal also pointed out a burn line in my airbag and said thats another reason its been deployed.

The airbagspecialist i saw laughed and showed me 3 airbags from jeep products 2 from jeep cherokees and 1 from a brand new wrangler.

These airbags were factory new still sealed and had that SAME burn line in them. He said the factory does that from "searing" the stitch line to prevent "fraying" in the material.

I have been lied to from Royal Jeep olds Eagle. There is 2 things that i can say that happened. Either A) they doint know their asses from a whole in the ground and are too lazy to fix my Jeep.

Or B) There is a severe cover-up with service techs at Royal repairing my jeep "under the table" for the previous owner replacing it with factory parts.

ANd it has been 3 weeks since my new top was supposed to be installed on my jeep (it was already ordered and appointments made to install it. I had called them and they mysteriously know "nothing about it" per Greg Smith the president. Somethings up here and it smells like shit! Help
