I purchased a brand new 2006 Saturn Ion 2.in less than a few months I took it in for a strange knocking sound. I was told it was nothing but a few items I had in my car at that time. I went home, took everything out of my car, and took it for a little spin around the block. The knocking was still there.
A short time later my wheels started to squeak so bad I could hear them on the freeway, windows rolled up, and radio on. This is at 7,000 miles. I call the dealer to make an appointment and can't be seen for a couple of weeks.By the time I get in to see the dealer I have a long list of problems. There's the knocking, the wheels/brakes, both front windows aren't working correctly, the On-Star system isn't working properly, and now it's idle is rough.
When I get my car back I was told everything is fine. After driving of the lot I find that the only thing that got fixed was the windows. The other problems exist even more than they did originally! I wasted no time in filing a complaint with the BBB.
I called Saturn Corp and filed a complaint. I contacted a Consumer Attorney specializing in Lemon Law and am currently building a case against Saturn. At this point I am working with one of Saturn's infamous Area Managers. They are replacing the brakes, even though I was told they are fine, and so far have ignored the rest of my issues.
I know my rights under the Oregon Lemon Law as well as the Magnuson-Moss Federal Warranty act. I urge anyone else having similar issues with Saturn to stand up for themselves. We all have tons of rights as consumers.
They only have a few more chances to correct my issues before I am entitled to a full refund!
