Maryland Automobile Insurance Fund, MAIF Paying insurance without getting coverage for accident

I went to purchase insurance from a company requesting one company and was but with MAIF. Paid my depoist to intiated coverage, effective on that date.

The following day, I had a accident. Reported to my "supposed to be insurace company" for them to tell me that they had to investigate.

No rental car no nothing. Rental was one of my coverages. But was told I could not get any assistance until the investigation was done.

At the end of April, I was contacted by a Mr. Scove who informed me that I had to give a sworn statement. I did that. Only for him to tell me that I was lying, and that he was giving me the chance to change my story before it ws too late.

When I left there office in Annapolis, MD I was in tears. A week later I call to inquire about what is going on with my claim only to be told that they are still reseaching.

I have been continued to pay my premium in addition to pay for my rental car in orderto be able to get me and my 4 small children back and forth to school and work.

So I call on 05/17/07 to be told that my claim is denied because there ws not enough information to prove that the lost happened. But there was not enough information to prove that it did'nt happen.

So here it is I'm out of my car that I have continued to make my monthly payments on, the money I pay MAIF to provide me insurance coverage, the cost of my rental car, and my time off From work to have to deal with the bulls*t!

To anyone out there thinking of getting MAIF as your insurance company. Stay away. To me they are all a bunch of racist.

I can bet you if my skin color was a different color and my financial staus was different, the Words INSURANCE FRAUD would have never been said.
