Thrifty Car Rental
Falsely claimed I damaged their rented car! It looked fine upon their inspection! Ripoff

I rented a car from Thrifty Car Rental back in May. About a year later I receive a claim (or bill?) stating damage to that vehicle! At that time, the damage report stated a "scrathed driver side mirror." They wanted over $550.00.

I called in response to this report that "lady was in a hurry and didn't have time to sign damage report!" Nonsense. They walked around the car (Van, actually), said OK! Since it looked like I would miss my flight, a gentleman there offered to drive me to the airport! In that Van!

I did miss my flight, but did have a nice stay in beautiful Raleigh-Durham. Don't go to this Thrifty — it is located in an extremely difficult to find location - far from the airport! It is far away from all the other car rentals that are available. Please note, this is the first time I did not buy renter insurance! Beware! I bet this happens all the time.
