Ripoff Military Friendly My BUTT! Cancelled with no notice not even a letter!

WE were geico customers for almost two years. Subscribed to roadside assistance on all vehicles 98 F150 97 Expedition and a 88 Ford Escort. We lived approximately 42 miles one way from my husbands duty station and gas prices in the state of Washington forced him to drive the 88 escort every day to work. That being said it was an old car and it had issues but still the gas mileage we received with it made it worth driving. We had to have the car towed 3 to 5 times in one year because of mechanical problems, geico was always very nice explained they could not tow again until the issue was resolved which we fixed the problem only to have another problem arise. Jeeze it happens with old cars. Still continued to pay for roadside and our regular premiums monthly. Never had a major accident never had a claim on our other vehicles which we still continued to pay roadside for. Ya know just in case. Still no problems.

The problem arose when my husband received orders to move literally across the country. 3 days before we were to leave and drive with the moving truck I called Geico to ask about the premium changes due to a new state and was informed our policy had been CANCELLED! I was like what?! Just like that no letter nothing letting us know and why? The informed us because of the numerous claims filed they cancelled us and could not offer us insurance.By this time I was very angry! I asked how they can just cancel us WITH NO NOTICE! They continued to repeat the numerous claims etc. Blah Blah Blah is how i see it. I feel its absolutely rediculous they can just cancel you without any notice on their part! Nothing! We almost drove across the country with no insurance and they didnt even care!

Wow some military insurance company. Hah! I would'nt let my dog have GEICO even if it was FREE! Luckily I did call before we left! After hanging up I promptly called USAA and they insured me right there no problems... Even turned out to be a better policy... And they are actually a military friendly company!!
