Beware of Price Gouging!

My 97 ford escort would not start without being jumped. So I took my car to Interstate Auto Care knowing that the problem was either my altenator or a battery.

After looking at the car they stated that it was the altenator. So I got a price. They gave me a price of 390.57 cents. Of course they really pushed me to get a new battery too.

I was trapped so I gave them to the go ahead. While waiting I began to call around to other shops and to parts stores to see what the job would cost. The highest estimate I got was $225.00. So I asked the folks why they were charging me what they were.

This is when he explained they use better suppliers than the rest. So I asked them for the name of their supplier and started arguing with me that it did not matter. However yet this was the reason why I was going to pay almost $200.00 more. So I immeadiately took my car from this shop.

Later at the other shop I discovered that they only problem the escort was the battery and the alternator was not even needed! Please be aware that this company clearly wants to take your money! Do not use!
