Cars & Transport

I purchased a brand new Porsche Cayenne Twin Turbo, a vehicle with a list price of almost $100,000. Since the very beginning of ownership, the vehicle exhibited poor braking performance, and a high rate of oil consumption, average 1 quart every 300-350 miles. I have sent faxes, letters, a certified letter, but the dealership just checks out the problem, reports there is no problem, and gives me back my car. I have been driving loaner cars for 270 days of the 780 that I have owned by car.

The dealership explains their position with a never-ending stance of denials, claiming nothing is wrong, they can't find the problem, etc.

I have a $100,000 brand new car, and I resort to driving around with a case of oil in my car. Imaging that folks.

Porsche has taken the position that "nothing has been confirmed to be wrong", and almost in disbelief of my claims, "why didn't you call us before". So now it is my fault, that I didn't call them before, and instead communicated with their authorized representative, inskip porsche.

I have spoken with a TV new producer from a Boston investigative consumer reports segment of the local newscast, and they are actually working on a piece about Boston owners buying cars from NH and RI dealers, where lemon law protections are diminished. If anyone else has similar experiences with Inskip or other RI new car dealers, please contact me and I can put you in contact with the producer.
