They refused to return the money they charged me for tax and tags of a car which I didn't even buy, didn't even sign the contract

One of their salesperson contacted me through a phone to inform me that I had been approved for a car loan after I applied for a loan online the previous day.

During our discussion through phone I was told by the salesperson that I was not forced to buy a car from them and they would give a check to shop from other dealers.

However when I got there they told me that I had to buy a car from them and showed me a "Nissan Centra" which I was not intersted in it and was not ready for.

When I told them that I was not intersted they tried to convince me by using their technical words like their lowest interst rate, refinancing option and so on.

So finally I was intimidated and said yes since I didnot have a car and was new to this country and such deals.

Then the manager asked me to pay for tha tax and tags for the car which he said the price was $800-1000. So I gave them $800.00.

While they were processing the paperwork, I tried to call some friends including my mechanic to ask their advise. We all agreed that it was not a good deal.

To make the long story short, after about 3 hours I told them I didn't wan to go through the deal. The manger was mad and rude by my decision.

So he went to his office and called me to give a reciept which they stamped No Refund on it after my decision not to buy the car.

When I asked him to show me any paper which says payment for tax and tags are non-refundable, he said it is written on the reciept.

When I continually asked him he told me that he was not going to refund the money that night and told me to call him the next day.

I called their store many time but they refused to give me back my money. I even went personally but what I recieved was teasing.

So I would like to ask your assistance on this matter... Can they keep my money for the car I didnot even sign the contract?

And this will be a lesson for others not to even consider dealing with these people because they are cheaters, rude and threat thier customers.
