Excess unexplainable charges

I purchased a 2002 Daewoo Nubira from Drive Time Pinellas Park location in 2003. It had some problems which were not at the time all that bad however had heard from friends that their cars were falling apart that they had purchased from the same dealership. I had been paying my payments on time until last year. I decided to have a few extensions done which it was explained that those would be placed at the end of the loan basically extending my payments for the needed time to pay the extended payments. I got back on track in making my payments. Then, 6 months before the last ajusted payment was to be paid, I was having problems making my payment. I contacted the dealership & they kept telling me that I dont have any options but to keep in contact with them to get it paid up on the late payments. Now that I was close to having the loan paid off, I reuested the payoff amount to possibly sell the car to someone or a dealership to get the situation resolved. I was trying my best to work with them however they were not doing anything to help me even though they kept saying you have a great payment history with us! They basically told me that I owed 10 payments. They also said the balance at the time was 2500 and some change. If my payments are 193 every 2 weeks then should that not be 1933? If I am to pay that off early, isn't that even lower? They fighting with me saying that once the 10 payments are made, I have a lump sum of 600 to be paid. I now have the amount to pay off the car but I do not want to if this will cause me to lose anything I should not rightfully pay them. I have not been contacted that any of that amount was additional late fees or interest. I will gladly join or form a group for class action if my situation meets that criteria.
