My husband purchased a truck from AFS that already had a lift kit prior to purchase. A few months ago, we noticed noises coming from the front end. We found out, after 1000.00 dollars of repair work, that out lift was welded on our truck frame. Many mechanics have said that lift kits have to be bolted on, not welded on! The shock towers have broke off the frame & taken chunks of the frame with it. We have been told by our insurance company yo park it. We wnt back to AFS to see if they wanted to fix this problem, and after a full day we were offered a striped down utility truck! We are waiting to gear back from an attorney in San Diego to help us. This company has had many court cases & lawsuits against them. We know have dicovered that AFS uses a different lift shop to "bolt on" their lifts. 4 Wheel Direct (the company that lifted our truck) admitted guilt to me, and said it he was instucted to do the work the cheapest way possible.
