Cottman Transmission
Ripoff

I had my Ford pickup serviced at Cottman transmission. I had called and spoke with the manager of the location and explained to him the problems my transmission was having. I asked for the worst senrio and what it would cost to repair. Is answer was about 1,900.00. The total repair was 2,239.35.

I ask while they had the transmissiom down if would replace the rear main seal on the engine and he agreed he would. Well, I went to pick up my vechile and I'm writing a check for payment with the manager watching I also handed a 100.00 off coupon on overhaul, he calls the owner and asked if the the coupon was ok, it was declined.

He explained that he already gave 100.00 off because he didnt charge me for replacing the rear seal, the part was 12.00 which i was charged but I guess it cost 100.00 to put in. My check was refused because they dont accept personnel or business. No signs stating no checks anywhere.

I refuse and will never take another service vechile of my to Cottman transmission and never again at the Chimney Rock location. It was a bull_hit business.
