Just Brakes
Ripoff

Like so many people who have fallen prey to "the just brakes way", I too was royally burned.

1) Went in for the $99.99 special.
2) Was told I needed remanufactured calipers and that the rear drums were below allowable tolerances (needed new rear brake drums).
3) For $100.00 all they did was put a $5.00 rubber seal on the existing calipers (even though the manger specifially said that they would replace with remanufatured calipers).
4) Rear drums replaced for another $92.00 (yeah I brought the drums from a parts store cause they wanted way too much $)
5) Car still drove like hell, pulled to the left and shimmied.
6) Third time to just brakes they told me to replace the brake line (drivers side), I did car still shook. Fourth time "oh you needed to replace both brake lines" (even though they didn't say that) So I did. Car still shakes.
7) "Probably needs a modulator" still trying to sell me more unneeded brake work. Yeah right.

The car (with 71,000 original miles) now has completely new brakes, master cylinder, rotors, drums, pads, lines, etc. And still shakes and pulls to the left.

After new tires, allignment and all front end possibilities; I'll bet the Honda still shakes and pulls to the left because of the lousy caliper slap job from just brakes when it needed to be replaced. "Naw can't be that" is all they say about stuff that they've already worked on ever trying to throw parts at the problem and sell you uneeded repairs. When you've completely replaced everything they throw thier hands up and blame they car for being a lemon. Buyer beware: do not go to just brakes!
