Chacon Auto
S is not worth buying a car from!

Cars & Transport

We purchased a 2004 Mitsubishi Galant from Chacon Autos in Jan. 2005. After having the vehicle 7 months we applied for a home loan assuming that with our excellent payment history we would get one. We found out that our payments were not being reported and the salesman told us that they would be. We called and spoke with the finance manager and he apologized and said that they could write us a letter of credit. Well, we didn't complain, but decided we would wait on the purchase of a home. On Dec. 30 we decided we wanted a bigger family vehicle so we traded the Galant in on a 2003 Chevy Tahoe.

We traded the Galant in with custom wheels the a/c had been repaired and was in excellent condition with under 33,000 miles. It didn't stay on their lot 2 weeks. After having the Tahoe one day the brakes went out on my way home from work. I couldn't take it back until Tuesday to have it fixed. After getting the brakes fixed the c/v joints started popping. We were only given a one thousand mile warranty and it was almost out due to us taking a road trip due to death in our immediate family. We asked if we could bring the vehicle back and get another one due to all the problems and the warranty about to expire. The manager said bring it back and see if they could fix it or just bring it back and leave it. They don't give loaner cars so that meant we were out a vehicle. My husband and I work in opposite directions and we have a child that had to be dropped off at school at noon. That was a major inconvience to us. No vehicle meant no way to work and with no job how can u pay for a vehicle.

We decided to take the viehicle back. We were sent a certified letter stating that the vehicle was back in their posession and that was it. We recently applied for a home loan again and found the the vehicle was placed on our credit. It puzzles me that a company will report bad and not the good. I advise no one to go there and purchase a vehicle unless it is their last and I mean very last resort. They will not work with you. They don't offer extented warranties and they sale practically brand new vehicles. We went and talked to the finance manager and asked for a letter of deletion and he said he would give us one but we would have to pay $2100 dollars which he said what was what they were at a loss for. I gave them $300 dollars the day of delivery of the vehicle.
