I purchased a car from JD Byrider in February. I like many others didnt have the greatest credit and a previous repo. I had just started a new job and was in need of a car. The salesman I had was actually great. He was very nice and very helpful. I test drove several cars and after narrowing it down to 3 I was told I would need 1,000 down for the first car, 1,500 for the second car and 2,000 for the third car even though they were all priced the same! I settled for the second car using my first paycheck and income tax return for the downpayment (which the income tax check was at my house) After everything was said and done the salesman actually followed me to my home to pick up my check!

Before the test drive the power seat on the drivers side quit working. I needed to take the car home that day so they told me I could either leave the car there for another 4 days until the part came in to fix it or put books behind my back to drive since the seat was so far back! I couldn't believe what I was hearing! About a week later the seat was finally fixed.

They called me once a week for about a month so see if I was "happy" with the car. About 3 months later I went out to get in my car and the battery was dead. So I had it jumped and then drove my car to the dealership for a new battery. They replaced it and later that night I went back to pick it up but when I got in it, it wouldnt start. The battery was dead again! I went in and told them. They came out with this portable "jump kit" started the car and then said take this home in case you need it again and come back tomorrow.

Well on the way home I got a call from the salesman telling me that one of their mechanics had left my lights on all day and it drained my battery. Since then I have had to have my car jumped atleast 6 times. The guy who came to jump it told me that they put the cheapest crapiest battery in it that was made and that it looked like a previously used battery!

About 2 months after that I had to take my car in for more repairs and there was always a wait for parts. Of course they dont give you a rental car and charge you and arm and a leg for the repairs.

As for CNAC, there was one time I was 4 days late on my payment and they had called me and every person I used as a reference when i bought the car.

All in all I can't say that I had a horrible experience but I can't say it was a good one either. The cars are crap but when you are in need of a car you dont think about things like that.

Now 2 1/2 years later I'm still paying on a car that was 8,000 and is only worth 750.00 on a trade in. If you are a person that has to buy a car from there just watch what you buy. I know I will never buy from them again.
