Car dealers aren't all bad people, but they get their bad reputation from dealers like Snyders Used Cars in Essex, MD.

The owner, Rob Snyder is a scummy, lowlife, wanna-be businessman. He sold my boyfriend a Jeep Cherokee. Nothing wrong with the Jeep (unlike the other vehicles I have seen him sell other people over the past 2 years), but we have owned it for almost 4 months and haven't driven it.

Why havent we driven it? Well, we made 2 payments on the Jeep to pay it off. 1st half then 2nd half. Paid off. Rob Snyder was supposed to submit the information to the MVA so we could get the title.

2 Weeks go by, we ask, wheres the title? He says oh i lost the VIN I didnt submit the paper work. (Very annoying as my boyfriend was without a vehicle because his was stolen. Had to get a ride to and from work, etc).

We gave him the VIN# again. Wait almost a month, no title. He avoided our phone calls all month. Finally got ahold of him. Oh I need to get that VIN from you again. It is getting really rediculous. Give him the VIN AGAIN...

Can't get ahold of the guy for almost another month. My boyfriend calls and could tell it was Rob who answered the phone. So he says 'hey rob' and the person on the other end of the phone DISGUISES THEIR VOICE and says THIS ISNT ROB CAN I TAKE A MESSAGE. How rediculous! What is he hiding, we have paid for the Jeep why cant we get the friggin title! ~

So my boyfriend gets really upset, calms down and 2 weeks later goes their in person. I hear yelling coming from the inside of his 'dealership'- He had the nerve to tell my boyfriend 'you never called me with the vin'. So Leo (my boyfriend) says I CALLED YOU 5 TIMES WITH THE VIN AND ONCE YOU PRETEDNDED NOT TO BE YOU!

So Rob Snyder replies, if you keep this up maybe youll never get the title to the jeep. Leo replies, look jerk you're used to dealing with these little downtown no names, I live uptown m-fer dont make me call my lawyer. And Rob basically told him, sorry cant help ya youre S.O.L.

So we were stuck with a Jeep with no title so we can't even sell it or put tags on it, USELESS!

Our lawyer called Rob and he told her 'if you were even a lawyer you would understand... Blah blah'. Basically calling her a liar. She gave him her bar assoc.info and said look her up. She gave him an ultimatum and he ignored it

So she served him with papers. Magically the information gets to a local title place and the information gets sent to the MVA by them. And we still have to wait 3-4 weeks for the title from the MVA.

What the h*l was the point in waiting so long? How is he benefitting by keeping the info when we have the Jeep in our posession? Luckily, the police found my boyfriends stolen vehicle and he is no longer without transportation.

Don't ever deal with Rob Snyder at Snyders Used Cars in Essex, MD. He is a low-life and is one of those people that gives car dealers the bad reputation that they have. My boyfriend and I have been through a ton of unnecessary pain and suffering, not to mention inconvenience because of this 'man' and his 'dealership'.

I can reccommend other local used car places that practice good business and won't 'screw you over' if interested. Whatever you do, stay off Snyder's dirt lot - you won't regret it.
