Ripoff

Midas is a total rip-off. I wish I had read this site before I went. I should have known when I went to Midas to get my brakes done and I asked them to pull up my info from when I went to Midas 2 years ago for brake work and they could not find it. Since they couldn't I told them to just do it anyway because my brakes were terribly grinding. I went in on Tuesday to have it done and I picked my car up on Thursday because I could not make it on Wednesday.

After I picked up my car a drove it home and that night my alarm was making noises. My car has remote start and an alarm. The next day I got up to go to work and my car alarm was really sounding funny. My car started starting up automatically and shutting over and alarm was going off and I could not stop it. That day I drove it home and it continued all night and finally it stopped. I call Midas and they said they did not mess with the alarm and told me to call Best Buy.

The next day my husbad got up to take my car and it would not start. I called Midas to advise them and they continued to tell me to take it to Best Buy. I informed them that my alarm and car was working just fine until I took it there. It had not been no more than 24 hours and my car was not acting right. I requested they send a tow truck to pick it up so they can see what they might have done.

I told them that I had not contacted Best Buy since I bought the alarm back in 2002. They told me that it was probably something wrong before. I decided to call Corporate who told me they would call the owner or district manager.

3 hours later the manager called and basically said the same thing. Then ended the conversation saying "You won't be satisfied until someone pays for it, so take it to another mechanic and tell them to write that it was our fault!!!"

I was so hurt by the treatment I recieved and I can't believe that they would not want to help the customer. They had it in their possession and like I said withing 24 hours it was messing up and within 48 I can't even drive it. I really don't know what to do about them I sent a report to the Better Business Bureau.
