Sold me an 03 jeep liberty that was wrecked, promised to fix, said he had a fake heart attack and couldnt continue so I have a wrecked jeep. Ripoff

Jeff Mcginnis sold me an 03 jeep liberty sport that had been wrecked. He is in the business of taking wrecked vehicles a fixing and selling them. However, he said he had a heart attack and couldn't continue to fix it. The total cost was 10,000 for the finished product but he said he wanted 7,000 up front. I paid cash. I do have a recept, all the emails and other information from jeff.

Come to find out from Jeff's neighbors at the garage he owned, that jeff took off because he had ripped off a bunch of people. Also, he said after the heart attack, he had to sell his garage (located at 8300 harrison ave) and the business had shut down. We emailed him from a hotmail account asking if he still was in the business. His reply was, "yes, since 1981." Obviously he did not know that it was me.

We had an estimate done on the jeep and the total cost to fix the jeep was more than what I paid for the jeep. It was roughly 9,000 dollars (which I dont have). If you can help in any way please call. I have his p.O. Box number and another address to reach him. I really would like my money back. The attorney general said they couldnt help and better business bureau said the same.
