Your car movers will not honor refund promise

I called Yourcarmovers in September to transport a car from the Boston area to Las Vegas. I asked if the car could be picked up by October 4 and was told by Abby that this would be no problem at all, so I said the vehicle would be available September 27 and I paid the full $975 up frontbig mistake.

The car was assigned to a carrier who didn't show up so Evan (no last namethese folks won't give out last names) assigned it again for pickup on October 3. Once again I showed up but no carrier. When I called Yourcarmovers I was told that the driver was delayed but would be there by 6:00 P.M. He wasn't, and this time I was told that the driver had run out of drive time.

I called first thing the following day and good ol' Evan gave me the carrier's telephone number so I could call it directly. I finally reached the carrier, who told me it didn't even do business in my area. Evan was real sorry about that, said it was all his fault.

Being sorry didn't help. For days I called and left messages (no one ever called me back, although they always promised to). I finally told good ol' Evan I had to make other arrangements and he told me I would get a full refund if I wrote Cancelled on the contract and requested a full refund, and faxed it to Yourcarmovers. I did that. Evan even assured me I'd have my full refund within three to four business days. Right.

Next we move to Kathy In Charge Of Refunds. You see, only she could help me but she was out for personal reasons. Personal reasons took until October 19 and left her incredibly rude. She said not only would I have to wait 30 days for any refund (although she'd been sitting on my request for a refund), but she was withholding $200. Why? Well, it was something like a retainer (???) Everyone in this company gives the runaround. The company also uses the names Door To Door Transport and 411Ship.
