Car theieves california under police investigation

On december 26 my fiances thunderbird was towed from the garage we lived in for no parking sticker because the homeowners staff was on vacation and we could not get one. Anyway on febuary 12 we were driving by lemontree when we saw our car parked there and we noticed it still had our temporary registration in the back window. So we started calling around the car was still ours there was no lien ever filed on the car and so dmv put a dot stop on all the paperwork we informed the people and had our car towed home and the people who bought our car from bj's on febuary 6 called the cops on us well the cops came and we got to keep our car the tow yard had given the poor people false lein papers. So they are now under investigation by the antioch police.
