I recently "purchased" a car from Gary Burton at Bill Heard Chevrolet. I put the word purchased in quotations because I am still waiting for my loan to be approved. It has been over a month, and the dealership sent me home with the vehicle and assured me that everything had been approved. The first finance company called me to verify my child support. Ok, I have NEVER been pregnant or had a baby so I was baffled by the child support question. Tito at the dealership had told the bank that I receive child support.

I called the dealership and demanded to know a) Why they had me down for receiving child support? And b) Why would they tell me I had been approved when I hadn't? I called the finance company daily looking for approval, but it was still pending. I received a call from Bill Heard confirming that everything was fine, everything had gone through. I knew from speaking to the bank that it had not.

I recently switched careers and had only been in my new position for 2 months. The bank needed W2 forms. I sent copies to Bill Heard on 2 different occasions, but the finace company never received them

Bill Heard finally confessed that they had decided to try another finace company and asked me to come in and sign a new contract. I was contacted by a James Wagner. He was just transferred from the Vegas showroom. He told me that Gary Burton, my original salesperson had left the company and that he would now be handling the deal. About 15 minutes into our conversation, Gary Burton was paiged over the intercom. I asked him why Gary would still be paiged after leaving the company. James seemed a bit flustered and changed his story to "I meant Gary must never be here when I'm here because I have yet to meet the man".

I spoke to Tito in the dealership's finace office, since he was the banker who had been dealing with my deal. He told me that I had been approved by the new bank, but when I told him I wanted to call the bank myself and verify the my approval, he became extremely nasty and told me that it wasn't possible.

I signed the new contract. I don't have much of a choice. I put down a decent sized down payment. I never received my welcome call from the new bank, however I 2 days ago, the bank called me and asked me to verify my child support! The dealership lied again! The bank told me that Bill Heard is red flagged and has a negative connotation with most of the finace companies.

I called Tito and left a nasty message asking him why he lied to me yet another time. James called me back and apologized. He said it was their error because someone forgot to change it in the computer.

Anyway, I guess I rambled, but I cannot believe how these people do business. Does anyone know of a place where I can complain?
