Bate and Switch

The first time I called pods I received some bad information from the person I spoke with. She drastically misinformed me about the cost of moving from Baltimore, MD to Germantown, MD. (I was told it would cost about $300-$400 to deliver to pod, store my stuff for 2 months, and redliver to my new home.instead I ended up paying over $1,300 in total)

Since I thought everything would cost under $400, I signed up and had my stuff put into storage and when I was ready to have it delivered to my new place of residence, I was informed that it would cost WAY more money than I was originally quoted. And there was nothing that I could really do about it because I had to pay to get my stuff back. Every time I called in, I never really got any answers about how to fix this. Nobody really made any effort to help me since it was a pods representative who gave me this information! I spoke with someone who said that I could pay to have my container brought out, I could rent a uhaul, unpack my stuff, load the uhaul, drive to Germantown, and then unpack again. I was not about to do that. I felt as if my stuff was held hostage so I paid.

Had the woman I talked to originally told me that I would cost so much more to deliver to another county, I never would have signed up. I even asked her how much it would cost, and she told me just the normal price of redelivery. She didn't mention that I would have to pay almost $200 to store it at another facility for ONE NIGHT, or that I would have to pay even more to deliver it here. It total, to redeliver it cost me $855! That is obscene! And that's not including the cost to deliver and the rent that I paid to store my stuff for 2 months before I moved!

So I am very dissatisfied with Pods. I will not be using you again. And since I am a recent college graduate, I will be telling my friends who are graduating to not use Pods as well. And I will be posting this review on the internet so that others may rethink before choosing pods.
