Ripoff Dishonest benefits disclosure

After several years of AAA membership, I finally had need of their assistance. When the tow truck driver completed his task, I was informed that AAA only covers the first three miles, and after that there is a $3.5 per mile charge. I have never been informed about this limitation. It makes this roadside insurance, after all, virtually useless. When I called to complain, I was told that I should have upgraded to a higher level. Yet, none of the renewal forms I have ever received offered such an upgrade, or informed me of the limited service their "basic" membership provided. I paid the driver the additional $70 he demanded, and will not be renewing my AAA membership.
