Avis DISHONEST transaction - AVIS Rent a Car International

I rented a car for 13 days for pick up in LA airport and dropoff at San Francisco airport. I paid in advance $752 dollars (at the exchange rate of 5 which is the exchange rate applied to tourism) it amounted to $3760 Argentine pesos). I was told in Argentina that for that price I was renting a Chevrolet Traverse. When I arrived to the US, and after calling the AVIS 800 number, I was told that I had reserved a Ford Escape.
Before going on with this complaint, I want to make clear that I have all the e mails that AVIS Argentina had sent to me regarding this reservation.
On the phone I was told that the reservation of a Chevrolet Traverse cost over 1100 dollars and that therefore I was given the wrong information. Such information was confirmed to me by the AVIS personel at the Vail airport.
Given that I did not have such amount of money (I had prepaid the car in Argentina for $3760 pesos), I requested on the phone the price for said Chevy for 12 days. Again I was told that the price for the rental was over $1100 dollars).
Finally I called Argentina and was offered said car for over 1000 dollars without GPS, which was fine because that feature was never included) As I had no other choice, I picked up the car at LA Airport (reservation number 2427-6871-AR-3), and delivered it at SF and paid 1130 dollars (equivalent to aprox. 8600 argentine pesos).
I summary I paid 4800 Argentine pesos more than originally told in Argentina).
In summary, I was ripped off by Avis Argentina, have all mails that prove what I am saying and there is in particular a letter sent by Mrs. Daniela Herce, from the Department of Operations of Avis Rent a Car International, phone numer 5411503100130 that supports what I am stating.
I believe Avis should reimburse for said difference. Otherwise I will contact the Argentine office of Consumer Deffense.
