2013 Ford Fusion fire recall

Let me start off by saying that, as you know, I decided to get a new car. I am 47 years old and I have been a GM guy my whole life. As Ford did not take the bailout money and I saw some good reports about the 2013 Fusion on the internet, I decided to take my wife and go look at the Fusion as it had some nice features. We liked it and bought it a few weeks ago. Today we were told about the "indefinite recall" for our Fusion and asked to get it back to the dealership as soon as possible. My wife was actually asked how far it needed to be driven to get it back to the dealership and was told to watch the dashboard for any warning lights that could illuminate and to pull over immediately if lights came on and get out of the car immediately. Disheartening to say the least! We are very upset about all of this! We are not real happy about buying a new car that is fully loaded and in less than 1 month and approximately 1,200 miles (before we have even made a payment) it gets recalled and we are put into a Dodge Advenger TS (TS stands for totally stripped down) for a loaner car (not any options on this one). We were told that this recall is for an undetermined length of time (no fix in site at this point). Point is, we want out of this car (the 2013 Fusion with the 1.6 liter)! After reading about the fire hazard and the fact that the engineers have no idea how to fix it, I do not think we will ever feel safe in that car again. Bottom line, we either want a refund or a comparably equipped 2013 Fusion with the 2 liter engine. Those are the only options! We absolutely don't want the 1.6 liter back If Ford has any interest in ever selling us another vehicle, this is what has to be done. After 10 days we do not have the car back and they have not come up with a satifactory resolution!
