JOB SEEKER BEWARE:
I was contacted by an employment agency identifying itself as Recruit A team. The company stated that i had submitted an application for one of their positions —only i never have. They indicated what the position was as well as the salary and then required that i complete an online "screening" process immediately since there was a 24 hr deadline to complete the questionnaire.
Since i don't have any paperwork indicating my application to this company (i keep docs a database of companies I've applied to) i decided to poke around the net see what i can find.
What i found is the following—Through "Whois.com" —this company appears to operate out of the Bahamas (Nassau). They have an office stateside in Florida and possibly Houston, TX.
Through Better Business Bureau—the company has an "F" rating. They have complaints that went un-answered. The bureau made several requests for information as to how long they have been in operation and so forth and bureau requests went unanswered.
Though i cannot completely verify this—i believe this company may be "fishing" for information or if they are truly a recruitment agency, by the sheer lack of information online, may be a new employment agency simply collecting resumes by advertising non-existent jobs - in order to build their clientele (company).
