To tuff to eat pickles - kraft claussen kosher dill

I purchesed a 64 oz claussen kosher dills, uppon trying to eat the them the were like they were made of old shoes... I buy them because they are crisp, but trying to eat these reminded me of native americans tanning hide in the old west... I hope this is not a new receipe or something... If so its a bad mistakie.
