This Domino's franchise was recently purchased and the new management needs marketing training as well as an introduction to Consumer Protection law.

Color flyers are distributed by newspaper, direct-mail or as coupons in various types of "value packages", all of which are delivered free of charge.

There are generally six Domino's locations promoted in the advertising, all are local but territory boundaries only allow one of them to deliver to this area even though there may be other closer stores.

When an order is placed for one of the advertised specials, the caller is told that special does not apply to their store. The story varies, but may be "It's a misprint" or "We don't participate in that special offer" or if they sense you are not going to back-down, they tell you they are out of that particular pizza right now.

They then upsell you to a more expensive pizza or offer you extra items such as chicken wings or bread sticks at reduced or no charge, but then when they total the order they add-back the discount and charge full rate. If you question where the higher price came from, the usual routine is to be put on hold to speak with a Manager, only when the next person answers the phone, they are not a Manager at all, and the process starts all over again.

This Domino's was frequented by us often... Sometimes two or three times a week, but with the new management gaffing people I don't think they will survive even a full year. They have cut back on delivery drivers causing delays of over an hour for delivery. Driver's are often not given credit card tickets even though you ordered on a credit card, further delaying the transaction. It is common for an item which was "extra at no charge" to simply not be included in the delivery and the driver has no record of that item as part of the order.

I suggest people in Chicopee start calling the Ludlow, MA store, people in Chicopee Falls call the Liberty Street store in Springfield and refusing to order from South Hadley.
