Ripoff in Texaco Truckstop served undercooked meat made me sick!

I ordered a cheeseburger in this place and it was very undercooked, as in still bloody in the middle. I asked the waitress to return it and she rolls her eyes and grudgingly takes it back to the kitchen.

Fifteen minutes later, it comes back, still raw in the middle but now cold. Since I'm running late, I just eat around the raw middle, pay and get the heck out of there.

About two hours later at work, I start feeling a little queasy. Recognizing that familiar feeling, I bolt for the restroom and just make it in time for the most god-awful, retching conversation with Ralph on the big white phone I've ever experienced.

This was clearly the sickest I'd ever been: vomiting, diarrhea, nausea, cramps, sweats, fever. I'd been fine just a few hours earlier. Had to go to the emergency room and spend 3 days in the hospital.

When I got out, I tried to report the incident to the restaurant manager. I've called at least 10 times and gone in three times to talk to him, but the guy keeps ducking me. I've left messages with his employees, on his voice mail, even wrote him a letter but he won't call back. Clearly he's telling his people to cover for him; I know damn well he's there.

I'm fed up with this. You'd think he'd at least try to apologize for making me sick.

Anyone have any ideas as to what I should do? I've got some major medical bills to pay as a result of this.
