Cup cakes left outside overnight

I recently ordered 12 cupcakes from carolines cupcakes for my Dads 80th birthday. I asked if they could be delivered on the morning of his birthday with a note in it saying happy birthday. This was confirmed as ok by caroline. The morning of his birthday she email me to say she had a problem with her car but her husband was coming home from work early to help her deliver them. They hadn't been delivered by 7.30pm. I left a voice mail and continued to phone her all evening with no reply or answer. The next morning my Mum found them on the doorstep they had been outside all night and were damp and inedible. Caroline thinks this is acceptable business behavour and her response to my complaint is "I deliverd them on the day it's not my fault noone answered the door"
