Food quality, price upcharge, no service - APPLESAUCE/ICECREAM OVERCHARGE / NO DESSERT SERVED

I took my five year old granddaughter and her best friend as well as my niece/godchild (who is visiting from florida) to applebees to dinner last night. The little girls ordered chcken and had applesauce for their side dish. When it arrived in it's own plastic cup i read the ingredients listed, i couldnot believe you would serve something to children that had so much sugar in it. With the obesity problem in our nation it seems you could read the ingredients alittle more closely. They had the chose of either eating that or having dessert as i felt they would have about the same amount of sugar. They picked the ice cream of course. I had ordered the chocolate cake for my niece and i to share. The girls got their icecream but our dessert never appeared even though the waiter kept saying it would be out. Then he brought me the bill and the girls icecreams were thirty cents higher each. When i brought this to his attention he asked me if i really wanted him to fix it. And as you have guessed by now we were not charged for the dessert we never got (that kind of surprises me). So between the sugar filled applesauce, the overcharged childrens icecream and our not getting any dessert we were not very happy when we left and will probably not return very soon.By the way the other food was very good.
