Very disappointed in this revenue strategy of charging for condiments

Recently, I've observed a troubling pattern at BK, especially in yrban laocations, I recently visited Relaxation. #2471 at 24th & Oregon in Phila., Pa. I requested a Whopper dinner and requested for just two BBQ sauces. I had been informed the 1st was free, but I'd be billed for that 2nd. I declined the additional cost, however it made me speculate concerning the charge for additional BBQ sauce. When I stated it has occurred before, and also the cost for that additional marinade has varied from $. 25 to $1.00. Is that this a legit cost? What's the collection cost for an additional BBQ sauce?
