Peter Luger Rude Employees, Poor Company Policy, and Overrated food

I am a big fan of steaks but had not yet tried the top rated steak of New York City. I decided to make a reservation on May 14 at the Brooklyn Peter Luger SteakHouse restaurant and invited some friends and business associates visiting from overseas. I looked forward to eating there. We were a party of 7 and our initial party was there to be seated. The maitre de, Tom, however would not seat us until all of us were there. We were a party of 7, but only 6 out of 7 of us were there to be seated. Tom refused to seat us until 7 out of 7 of us were there, and he subsequently gave our table away. Tom, I might add, was extremely rude and would not even give me the time of day when I tried to speak with him. Tom was supported by another employee who treated us with equal rudeness. Two people from our party were so upset that they decided to leave. The remainder of us were eventually seated, and we decided to eat there just because we wanted to see what's so great about Peter Luger steak. It ended up being a horrible dinner. Tom was previously so nasty to my wife that she cried through dinner and through the night, and I was extremely embarrassed in front of my overseas business associates. I later spoke with one of the Peter Luger managers about this horrible incident, but she refused to apologize nor acknowledge any fault. She cited that we (1 of 7 of us) were not there on time so that's why we were not seated. I suppose that this silly excuse goes against all common sense since every other restaurant I have been to has always seated us regardless of whether or not the whole party was there. The steak was good, but it certainly was not anywhere close to being the best steak that I ever had. I make better steaks at home. Besides, Peter Lugers service sucks and their employees are rude. I will never go to Peter Luger steakhouse again, and I hope none of you ever go. It's not worth it and its a waste of money!
