Family meat co consists of a guy or two in a pick up truck with a freezer strapped in the bed. They will talk your ears off. I finally decided to give it a try and to help support local business. The meat we received had a yellowish color on the fat even after cooking. The "fillets" were white in color and appeared to be pork! (investigation pending)

After we tried the fillets we thought we just cooked it wrong so tried the next night by cooking a fillet, sirloin, KC strip and NY strip. Horrible!!! I spoke with the owner who said he would be glad to exchange them at which point i said, "no, ill pay you for the steaks i ate and return the rest to you." He said we dont give refunds. I told him noone in our family could stomach the meats and dont want any of them.in fear of losing almost $400 for nasty steaks, i called and stopped payment on my check. So after agreeing on a price 2 weeks later due to his lack of reply and availability he then canceled the exchange and had a check recovery company start contacting me. I will try to resolve this with him again today. My main concern is that NOONE ever be conned by these people again.
