Cooked my hashbrowns in fish grease which caused me to have a severe allergic reaction

To whom it may concern (Department of Consumer Affairs):

On April 30 approx 7:30pm I visited a local IHOP (store #4444) along with my family. From the time we sat down the service was poor. I ordered a bacon omelet with a side of hash browns and a sprite my mother ordered a tilapia dinner and my daughter ordered chicken strips. First, I had to send my drink back it had something floating in it then I the waiter brought my omelet to me in a dirty plate. While waiting for the cook to remake my omelet I started eating my hash browns as I got into my third bite I noticed my hash browns were extremely greasy and tasted very fishy. Less than a minute after I notified the manager on duty (CARY) that I was having a allergic reaction and that my throat was closing up due to my hash browns OBVIOUSLY being cross contaminated with fish. He (CARY) gave me a smirk and then only asked Ms. Do you want the food or not not even asking if I was ok or attempting to see the severity of what just occurred. He was very rude and started laughing in my face as If I was trying to get out of paying for my food. I paid for my entire bill and immediately asked for corporate' number where I called them in route to the emergency room at (800) 241-4467 and filed a complaint (case #276856).

I've made several attempts to speak to someone at the corporate office regarding this matter and they keep telling me that someone will get in contact with me and hasn't yet. I don't have medical insurance and since then have received 2 hospital bills from my visit regarding this incident. I indeed had a severe allergic reaction and was giving Benadryl and a cortisone steroid shot. Also, I was giving a prescription which I still haven't been able to pick up since I have no insurance. First, I would like to know why IHOP as a company find the need to treat my encounter lightly when in fact I could have died due to negligence or shall I say PURE IGNORANCE. I mean who cooks hash browns in fish grease? I would like IHOP to pay me for my medical bills otherwise taking legal actions would be highly considered in the very near future.
