Tgi fridays & jenn mobley nasty. African americans not welcome

After seeing the disappointing loss of the phoenix suns to the sacremento kings (4/29) in which my friend and i waited in the will-call window line for forty five minutes just to get our tickets, we decided to patron tgifriday's front row (401 e. Jeffferson phoenix, az 85004; 602-462-3500) for some food and drinks.

I have been here on three ocassions and have always been impressed with the service. After an hour of poor service (the item i ordered wasn't correct, searching for the waiter just to get refills, etc), a manager, craig, approached our table and asked us to relocate after finishing our beverages (of which mine was 3/4 full).

The table that we were seated is reserved only for arizona diamondback ticketholders. This in itself made me upset. This is the exact table a server seated us and now, there were no tables available. At the same time, there were at least eight empty tables in the same row we were sitting.

After a few minutes another manager, jenn mobley, approached our table and requested that my friend close out his tab. We tried to explain to her that craig told us that we could sit there until i finished my drink. She replied that i was "milking it." we both were in shock. My friend closed out his tab and because of the poor service and the rude, confrontational style of jenn mobley, he did not leave a tip.

When a table became available, we relocated and decided to start a new tab at the bar. I went to the bar thinking the service would be faster, ordered two drinks, and was told that we were not going to be served anymore. After confronting both managers, we decided to leave.

Shortly there after, i returned to use the public restroom in which i saw jenn mobley. As i washed my hands, she called me "cheap trash." this has to be the worst experience i have ever had in my life. I am an african american doctoral student and i have lived in phoenix for under 2 years. I do not want to believe that this was racially motivated. However, i will never visit this restaurant or any other tgifriday's again.
