Awful Unprofessional and Rude Customer Service

I entered "One Smart Cookie" in La Grande Oregon to purchase a cup of cappuccino. While I was inside this small store, the owner took my picture and I saw her slip a camera in her pocket. This woman reported the picture was part of a birthday party; there was no party in this snack shop.

A young female employee took my order and prepared the coffee drink. After leaving the store and sipping on this beverage, I began experiencing ill effects from this cappuccino. My heart was pounding like a rabbit, I was having trouble breathing and I developed a severe headache. This was an extreme case of anxiety from drinking a small amount of a beverage prepared by One Smart Cookie located downtown La Grande Oregon.

I took the beverage back to the store to complain about my sudden ill effects. The woman who prepared the cappuccino was displaying unusual body language; she appeared quite nervous and scared. The employee alerted her manager, who became bitter and demanded I go to the Long Branch instead of her establishment. The owner threw the drink into the trash and made no attempt to remedy the situation.

Here is the problem:
1. I did not get any product or service for the seven dollars I paid for a tall cappuccino in this establishment.
2. The owner took it upon herself to discard the property that I had purchased.
3. There is also an issue of the pain and suffering from the sudden illness I experienced from this product.

I have reason to believe this beverage may have been laced with some type of over-the-counter medication out of spite. The symptoms I was experiencing mimicked a histamine product and lasted for several hours. On many occasions, I have purchased a similar beverage from the drug store down the street without any related symptoms; this eliminates a food allergy or any other intolerance to this type of product.in my observations, there seems to be a pattern of malicious behavior in the community from an unfounded rumor in the La Grande area.

I have no intention to return to this establishment due to the ignorance of the owner. I will also advise others to be aware of the lousy customer service, it is insulting and disrespectful. Most of their customers may be teenagers who do not know what good ethics are, but there is no excuse for this kind of treatment. Any customer who is degraded as I was will gladly avoid this establishment and seek a more suitable place of business.
