White Birch Cafe
No Eggs For You!

On a trip Back from Lake Placid, we decided to stop for breakfast. White Birch looked nice, so we stopped. It was about 9:15 on a Sunday morning and there were about 10 customers already seated. Finally a woman wandered over from the counter area and asked if we wanted to be seated (like the sign said "Please Wait To Be Seated"). After a wait the waitress fianlly came over and took our order-eggs & hash and scrambled eggs & toast. As she walked away we asked for coffee. That took another wait. Customers came in and were seated. The woman who seated us went back to the counter and a few minutes later she was served her order. One couple nearby placed their order about 20 minutes after we had walked in. When the gentleman poured milk into his coffee, it curdled. The waitress acted like it was the man's fault, and brought him more coffee and milk. Then to make matters worse, they got served their breakfasts, and we were still waiting! I put a couple of dollars on the table and left. I have never been so mad and have never done anything like that. I even told people in the parking lot that they would be better off going to McDonald's. Better class of service.
