Elsa's Bushel & Peck
Overpriced, terrible food, terrible service, overcharged, dont waste your money there! Ripoff

My mother was visiting from out of town. I took her to Elsa's Bushel & Peck because I have seen the menu before and they seemed to have creative stuff on it.

Boy what a disaster. We paid $28.00 for two adults and two kids to eat lunch and this is what we got:

One cranky teenager to ring us up, who also left the other girl who was nice but overwhelmed to get the food. (why the cashier couldnt help is beyond me as we were the only ones there)

I had a roast beef wrap which was the only good part of the meal, as well as a cup of chicken soup that was barely warm, I had to ask them to heat it up (the guy then admitted he had just put it on), it was made with spaghetti instead of egg noodles like chicken soup usually is.

My mother had a buffalo chicken wrap. She asked if it was going to be hot and the girl said yes, my mother meant heated, and it wasnt. The sandwich appeared to have poached chicken in it, a smear of blue cheese dressing, and a few shakes of red hot on it. My mother wasn't impressed.

My son, a very picky eater, had a water roll with two slices of american cheese. Thats it, no butter, mayo, not heated or anything. It was smooshed FLAT and for this we were charged $4. (At grinder shops i always get him a small grinder roll with just cheese and noone has ever charged me more than $2 for it because its only bread and cheese and isn't even cooked)

My daughter had a disgusting looking grilled cheese sandwich that also looked like it had been sat on, after being dipped in grease. I wouldn't have eaten it myself.

We were seated where they have tables set up for eat in, and it was freezing in that section as i don't believe that area was heated.

After noticing on the that a grilled cheese and tomato sandwich was only $3.29, i asked the cashier if she made an error by charging us $4 for two bread and cheese sandwiches. She grudgingly refunded me $1.40 like i had the nerve to ask her for it.

I finally asked for the managers name and phone number from the cranky cashier and after some hassle she gave it to me.

As we were putting on our coats the "manager" approached us and asked what was wrong. We listed the numberous complaints and whilst she was apologizing, my daughter knocked the uneaten half of my roast beef wrap (rmember the only good part of the meal) onto the floor. The manager didn't offer anything to us except for an apology (not like any offer for a future meal would have been worth anything i willnot be going back there even for free).

What a waste. $28 for a couple sandwiches, flat sandwiches of bread and cheese, chips and one soda and milk. Sorry, but that is so not worth it. Recently i ate at a lovely sandwich shop in Northampton, MA where they bake their own bread and i think i spent less money on lunch.

Just because Elsa's has creative items on their menu, don't think they will be able to deliver!
