Horrible food, wait, disrespectful, rude, yells at employees, customers ripoff

On the evening of February 25 I went to dinner with my girlfriend to an italian restauran in Sherman Oaks called Panzanella. We were enjoying our time for the first twenty minutes waiting for our food to arrive. We ate an appetizer and were expecting our main course.

I ordered Ossobuco, the waitress told me it would take 20 min or so, this was 10 min before we got the appetizer. 30 min goes by, 40 min, we are getting really hungry at this point as it has been about an hour and a half since we came to the restaurant. We figure ok, they will knock down the price a little bit for making us wait.

The bill comes, no reduction. We explain our concern to the waitress and after about 5 min the owner comes (Giacomino Drago). He smiles, and asks how was Ossobuco, I said good, however service was not great and we waited for 40 min. With a smile on his face he asks what can he do for me? I throw it back in his court "What do you think you should do?" He doesn't budge as if everything is normal. Meanwhile there are rips in the couch my girlfriend is sitting on. I said I felt we should be compensated for waiting so long at which point he gets upset and says, "... You ate the food you are paying for it." I never intended not to pay for it, simply pay less.

Another group next to us of approximately 10 people said waiters had to bring their food 3 times because it was so bad. This was the worst restaurant experience I have ever had. I never left anything less then a 15% tip, this time it was 0.01 cent.

The owner is awful and does not have any respect for his customres or employees. He yells at them and tries to come off as a nice guy, however customers beware. This one will ruin your dinner plans in no time.
