Firing of waitress

I struggle to understand why you fired your waitress for posting the receipt that a "pastor" chided the waitress on. The waitress did not force the "pastor" to write those comments, let alone sign it "Pastor" as if throwing around what ever clout she thinks she has. I am embarrassed by what the pastor did, and even more embarrassed by that pastors "passing the buck" (blaming the waitress) for the pastors own actions. The pastor made the choice to write the stuff she did instead of talking to the waitress or management about her. Issues.

I agree the waitress did not use her brain when posting the receipt, however your firing was a HUGE overkill! What about a 2 day suspension, or better yet a conversation/education about the customer being right and a days suspension.By the way, maybe you should close down the restaurant because it is the restaurants policy and the bill comes out printed with the 18% gratuity on it automatically, so really... It's the restaurants fault.
Finally, to finish, I too am a Christian, and the pastor is off when she talks about her giving God 10%, as that's a guideline, the pastor can give God more than 10%, she could give! 8%. The bible also state "God loves a cheerful giver."
